A Matter of Forever Fate Series Volume 4 Heather Lyons 9780692203378 Books

This book is well written, smooth flowing and easy to read. The author does a good job portraying the characters, their emotions and the experiences they go through. It kept me captivated from the first page through the last.

To really understand this series you do need to read the books in order. As this is the final book in the series, it has been a journey watching the characters grow, learn and change. They started out as teenagers and are now young adults.

This book picks up right where book 3 left off. Chloe needing to be healed and wondering what is going on with her after being attacked by Jens Belladonna in the bathroom during hers and Jonah's engagement party. Annar is supposed to be the most secure of all the realms, and yet they are being attacked.

Once it is understood what happened to Chloe in that bathroom, everyone realized that they are in a lot more trouble than they ever imagined. Can the Elders be defeated once and for all? While there are no guarantees, the Council and the Guard will do whatever it takes to stop these monsters.

Book 1 dug its claws into me and I had to read this series. While each book was good, I am slightly disappointed with the series as a whole. In book 1 you have kids teenagers who are ready to ascend and really come into their powers. You have the Elders attacking constantly. It was full of action and suspense and kept your on your toes. In the subsequent books (especially book 2), the books focus more on how the characters are feeling. There is action here and there with various Elder attacks, but there is as much action in book 1 as books 2, 3 and 4 combined it seems.

Chloe is the most selfish, immature and self-centered lead female that I can ever recall reading about. She is constantly throwing herself a pity party. Although someone having a romantic Connection to more than one person is unheard of, she cheats on her boyfriend/fiance with his twin brother repeatedly. When she is with Jonah, nobody matters but Jonah. When she is with Kellen, nobody matters but Kellen. But when she isn't in their presence she is consumed with guilt.

Jonah is the logical one of the group. He will do whatever it takes to keep his loved ones and strangers alike safe. He will go to the ends of the worlds to make Chloe happy. Being an Emotional, he knows exactly how Chloe feels about his twin brother. He knows exactly what goes on between Chloe and Jonah. While it bothers him that the love of his life can't be faithful to him, he bottles all of his feelings up inside, and for the most part pretends that it doesn't bother him, because he wants Chloe to be happy, even though that means that she is constantly breaking his heart and his brother's heart.

Jonah and Chloe are the two most important people in Kellon's life. His twin brother is his best friend, and Chloe is the love of his life. Knowing how much it hurts him when Chloe is with Jonah, he also understands that him being with Chloe hurts his brother just as much, if not more. Yet he can't seem to give her up. He tries over and over, but they keep getting pulled back together.

I would recommend this book/series to those who enjoy Magical books/series. There are elves, goblins, humans, and lots of Magical gifts. Review for Mommy's Naughty Playground

A Matter of Forever Fate Series Volume 4 Heather Lyons 9780692203378 Books Reviews

Biggest *sigh* everrrrr. This is a series that I will never forget. It really has one of the most brilliant, creative, and intense storylines that I've ever read. My emotions were all over the place!

I've never read a more bittersweet series. I can't even begin to describe the feeling that I had when I finished this book. It was sort of like extreme happiness mixed with extreme sorrow mixed with understanding plus a little irrationality on my part. I mean... this series put me through the ringer emotionally yet it's one of my top favorite series. I'm not saying that flippantly either. When I first stumbled upon A Matter of Fate (Fate #1), I read all three of the first books in a three day window. I haven't been that absorbed or obsessed with a series in a long time. Long, long time.

As we all know, the last book left off on a intense cliffhanger. A Matter of Forever picks up right after that and the intensity is off the charts starting at page 1. I had NO idea what was going on. I was totally freaking out. Actually, I was pretty much freaking out the entire time. Even though I knew that Chloe had made her choice in the last book, things still felt unsettled to me because I knew that the other person was still hurting. I've never hurt so much for a character in my life! I wanted it all to be better for him, but it really was a lose/lose situation. Another long *sighhhhh*

I don't know what to say. I don't want to give anything away. If you've read this far into the series, I feel like there's no need for me to convince you to read this book because you're going to read it anyway (how couldn't you? lol). I will tell you that things are settled at the end but so bittersweet. Incredibly bittersweet. I've rarely ever felt so connected to a group of characters before. I felt their pain and their happiness. I worried for them. I cried for them. I just felt for them. Ohhhh the feels... I really believe the series ended where it was supposed to though.

This is truly an incredible conclusion a series that is on my top recommendation list. If you were my bff, I'd tell you to read this series (in fact, I did tell my bff to read it).
