review I'm doing 4 stars for this one, it could have been a 5 star read but some of the grammatical errors were a bit crazy such as a 'WE' where a 'HE' was intended.

This is a different plot, which I guess I have a knack for reading these days (no complaints here) it is a welcome change from the typical biker or billionaire reads I normally find myself reading.

Mace is a biker, but to be perfectly honest we NEVER truly hear about that outside of one scene in the book. He is tough, and he clearly has some secrets he is keeping from his girlfriend Leeta.

Leeta is an up and coming prosecutor. She is tough, which I like.. She has been through one bad relationship and is pretty head over heels for bad boy Mace, even though she knows she is on one side of the law and her boyfriends father and brother are a known gangster family..

The plot twist of this book revolves around Mace getting justice for his sister Annie. I don't need to spoil that, because it would kind of ruin the book, but the bad people she was caught up with were REALLY bad people.. I mean the worst of the worst..

I think in ways, Leeta doing what she did for Mace/ with Mace was about love, or justice or a mix of both and it really showed you what kind of person she was, and I don't know that if I had been put her situation and faced finding out my boyfriend was involved in ---- that I would have stuck around to even listen to his side of anything. She was pretty amazing in that aspect (which Mace knows)

The ending felt a little rushed, I would have liked to find out where Mace and Leets ended up say 5 years down the road, having been through what they went through..

Like I said a few grammatical errors that can be looked past, a few that caught you up. This book is an Australian author, which I actually love because sometimes I forget how different American English is from what other's speak and the names for certain things is cool to be reminded of..

For sure a dark read, that I think people will love.

Good characters and a good twist. Again easy read but not much to keep your head occupied. I like more in depth stories but this is a Utica and easy if you need a good story.
This was my first dark read and I'm surprised I liked it. Maybe it was the way it was written but my heart broke for him even though he was doing some very harsh things.
I read a review that said they didn't like the book that much because there were paragraphs that repeated. I didn't see that. I liked this book a lot. It was a fast read. Very good.
This is the first book I've read by this author, and I loved her writing style.

I didn't see all the one stars until I was about to post my review, and I have to clearly state that she gives a disclaimer.

The circumstances of this story are disgusting, but look up rape facts my friends. The world is not always champagne and roses, shit happens. Revenge and suicide happen.
I liked this book but felt the story ended quite quickly for me. The overall story was something I hadn't read before so it kept me interesting. The leads Mace and Leeta weren't stereo typical and kept me rooting for them to work together. I can't stand books that the relationship breaks down because one person didnt communicate.

When Mace finally reveals his secret they work together to figure out the situation.

Wow, wasn't sure what to expect, love story, but this story had it all! Leeta came from rich family, of course Mace was the handsome guy from a mob background, but he had nothing to do with them, they were in love❤️. Then, literally it all comes crashing around them, lies, untruths, not willing to explain away, then she finds out his sister was raped, so many secrets. This is so full of twists and turns, you will love it, great story.
It seem rushed at times or that it jumped from one thing before it finished the first thing., The story line was intense and addressed some very series issues., that were rushed and not addressed completely along with the story that jump around a lot and left holes in places, and the characters had great potential but never fully blossomed in their connection for the reader and left you feeling confused at times and really not shore how you fell for either of them.. but over all the story was enjoyable and it didn't have a predicable ending so it did give and gave you the element of surprise which does make up for some of the character & story line issues. I like the authors over all style and will definitely read the authors other books and look forward to the brothers story being told and if he finally finds his way )
